Me, Joely and Emily went to Cardiff today because Joely was going to see the Strictly tour, so me and Emily decided to tag along in case we caught a glimpse of Harry.
We waited around the back of the CIA (The Motorpoint but I can’t get out of the habit of calling it the CIA) for a while and there was no sign at all of Harry, so we started to doubt that he would actually come out. BUT THEN Izzy came out and the two girls in front of us started calling her name, so she came over to us and told us that she wasn’t fed in the arena so she had to go out to get some food by herself and then she’d be back. We asked if she could ask Harry to come out, and she said she would ask him when she came back. At around the same time Jason Donovan walked past us and said hi, and had a photo with one of the girls.
Izzy came back about half an hour later and she said “Hello again!” so we all said hello again, and she said “I’ll go and ask him to come out. I’ll beg for you!” and then disappeared inside. There was still no sign of him another half an hour later so we just thought we’d give up, but then we saw him come out and get onto the bus to get something. He was carrying something and we all shouted to him to come and see us, so he said “Yep, 1 sec!” and went in. He came back out almost straight away and stayed with us all for a couple of minutes (there were only 6 of us waiting!!!), taking photos with us and signing things. He went back in then for the show and Joely went in to see it. She said that McFly were on the balcony watching the show and she kept getting distracted because they were waving at Harry and dancing and stuff.
While Joely was watching the show for a couple of hours, me and Emily went to the city centre to find somewhere to eat. We ended up going to Burger King for almost 3 HOURS because we had nothing to do - all the shops were shut because it was quite late and Burger King shuts at 4am. We went onto the top floor which was completely empty and took stupid photos of each other to pass the time. We finally started walking back to the arena to meet Joely at about 10pm.
Back behind the arena, there were the two girls who were there at the start. They said they’d been there the whole time and they met Dougie (damn!). They went a bit after we got there to get their train home (I found out they only live about 10 minutes away from us!) and me and Emily waited for the show to finish. Joely came running around the back to meet us when it finished, and there were loads of adults there with us trying to meet people from Strictly. We were the only teenagers there in amidst all the adults.
We didn’t get to meet Harry again but I saw a glimpse of him in the window. We also saw Robbie Savage in the window and he waved at us. When everyone came out of the arena to get back into the buses to take them back to their hotels, everyone started shouting for Robbie Savage to come out and see us. He came to the front of the bus but the driver wouldn’t open the door for him, so everyone started cheering for Artem (one of the professional dancers). But, Robbie went back onto the bus, grabbed all of his stuff and told the driver that he’d get on the next bus so he could come and see us all. HE IS SO NICE! He spoke to everyone and me, Emily and Joely had a photo with him. He’s so tall. One woman started crying when she had a photo with him, it was so funny! Jason Donovan also came back out and spent longer with everyone, talking to people and taking photos (we didn’t manage to get a photo with him). When the bus left, this is when most people left (including us).
Today was so amazing and I want to do it again, despite the fact that we were bored as hell in Burger King, but it’s what you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do to meet celebrities!
